Suakin

In 2007 Mallinson Architects were appointed to carry out the Masterplan for Suakin Island the historic port of Sudan. The project provides a Integrated Development Project for the 120,000 refugees living around the island along with a proposal to restore the ruined houses to create new jobs and the Red Sea University campus. Integral to the proposals was the creation of two new museums.
